The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries sassa status to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie sassa status and there's no totally functional office committed to SRD service the area on a daily basis. The support place created for intervention experiences a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and boost entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
